Job Description:

  • - Lead all software development activities on the program and perform hands-on technical
      work to maintain skills

  • - Develop overall software methodology, system architecture, program specifications,
      and system test procedures

  • - Perform analysis, design, and development of software to meet customer and project


  • - MS and 10+ years of experience, or BS and 20+ years of experience. Degree must be in Science,
      Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM), Computer Science or similar from a
      regionally accredited institution

  • - Professional software certifications

  • - Member of professional IT, computer, or aerospace societies

  • - Demonstration of continued education

  • - Current TS/SCI clearance or adjudication within the last 2 years

  • - Requires broad knowledge of several fields and extensive knowledge of own specialty

  • - Must demonstrate solid judgment in evaluation, selection, and adaptation and/or modification or
      methodologies and tools

  • - Skilled in object-oriented and scripting languages, e.g., C/C++, Java, Perl, etc.

  • - Experience directing several supervisors or team leaders

  • - Prior military or civil service experience supporting the space and/or
      intelligence community

  • - Experience developing and maintaining an integrated baseline to capture the architecture,
      performance, utility, and costs associated with programs (operational, in development,
      and future)

  • - Experience analyzing system level and system-of-systems level requirements, needs, and

  • - Experience providing subject matter expert support for engineering reviews

  • - Experience collaborating with external systems engineering organizations


  • - Experience in Aerospace, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering

  • - Prior military or civil service experience supporting AFRL and/or SMC

  • - Recognized national expert; spokesperson for profession

  • - Experience in business development and creating new program opportunities with new and
      existing customers

  • - Experience identifying, supporting, and directing a broad range of technical efforts requiring
      highly specialized and diverse personnel

  • - Experience briefing senior officers
