Sensors may, at its sole discretion, make evaluation/loan unit(s)
available for customers to assess the performance and suitability of ATA products for their particular application, or as a temporary loan
during the interim of receiving a replacement (e.g. repair, reconditioned,
or new). Unit(s) may be ordered at the stated single unit product price
plus shipping and handling, for the specific sensor model from ATA, Albuquerque, New Mexico. Evaluation/Loan unit(s) are
available upon receipt by ATA Sales Department of an
approved credit purchase order, or company or bank check from the ordering
company for the cost of the sensor, accessories and shipping, plus a
customer signed copy of this policy acknowledging terms, conditions, and
customer responsibility for evaluation/loan unit(s).
Evaluation/Loan orders must stipulate “30-day evaluation/loan”, and if so
stated in writing on the order, unit(s) may be returned complete and
undamaged, freight prepaid by customer, at any time within the 30 days or
customer will be invoiced. Outbound shipping charges will not be
credited. Unit(s) not returned within 30 days of customer receipt are
not returnable. Returned units must contain all components including
cables, calibration sheet(s), and accessories plus a copy of the original
packing slip. Units returned without all components will be assessed
a charge for refurbishing, handling and billing. The refurbishing
charge will be actual cost of damaged or missing components plus $50
labor.
The
purpose of the 30-day evaluation/loan period is to insure that the ATA
Sensors product works in the customer application, and to allow the
customer to evaluate performance in the planned application, or to pacify
the interim of waiting on replacement. These unit(s) are not intended for
use in life testing, environmental testing, crash testing, or other
potentially destructive evaluation processes. The maximum number of
unit(s) of any single type of ATA sensor which may be ordered under the
30-day Evaluation Unit Loan Policy is based on a per case basis.
Evaluation/Loan unit(s) carry ATA Sensors’ standard warranties from date
of purchase. This Warranty does not apply to units used in life testing,
crash testing, environmental testing or other potentially destructive
tests.
Correct
application of power and interface signals are the responsibility of the
customer, and units damaged by incorrect connection, application or levels
of power are not covered by warranty. Unit(s) damaged by incorrect
power use or abuse are not subject to return credit under this Evaluation
Unit Loan Policy. Return packing and shipment are the responsibility
of the customer. Units damaged in return shipment are the
responsibility of the customer and claims with the shipping company or
carrier shall be made by the customer.
