ATA Sensors offers a standard sensor and ILC box warranty of  365 days, and standard cable warranty of 90 days, covering  parts and labor for failures due to defects in materials or  workmanship (see copy  of ATA Sensors Limited Warranty).  Warranty returns are accepted by  ATA Sensors only from the original  purchaser of the Product and within the warranty period, and only with  approved Return Materials Authorization Number.

Return Materials Authorization numbers are assigned only by ATA Sensors Technical Support Department. To obtain a Return Material Authorization, the customer must contact ATA Sensors Technical Support group at (505) 823-1320, or send a fax describing the problem and requesting a RMA to the Technical Support Department at (505) 823-1560. ATA Sensors  will first verify the problem through telephone contact with regard to product installation and set-up, nature of the failure, etc. to ensure that the problem is with the sensor.  Before assigning a RMA number, technical support must also verify the following information:  

  • Name of the ATA Sensors Customer who purchased the Product and date of purchase
  • Model and serial number of the sensor product

This information will be used to verify that the Product is under warranty since all Products are tracked by serial number and date of shipment with customer invoice information.

Products returned under RMA must be shipped prepaid to the nearest ATA Sensors ATA Sensors  repair center as directed by the Technical Support Group. RMA return products will be repaired or replaced at ATA Sensors sole discretion, and will generally be returned to the customer within 10 business days of receipt. ATA Sensors accepts no responsibility or liability for any third party products returned with the sensor product including enclosures or power supplies, interface cables and boards, mounting hardware or other materials.  

 


Under no circumstances may product be returned for credit.  Return shipment to customer by UPS ground is prepaid by ATA Sensors.  Air priority shipment is available only when charged directly to the customers air freight account.  If air priority shipment is required, customer must provide completed air freight shipping form or the account number and shipment instructions in writing with the RMA product.

ATA Sensors will only return ship products to the customer from which they were received. We will not drop-ship to third parties or end users.

ATA Sensors does not cross-ship. No replacement product will be shipped prior to the receipt of warranty return products by ATA Sensors.

Out of warranty product may be repaired by ATA Sensors for a service cost which is determined by the model of the product. Technical Support will provide quotation on the cost of repairs based on the model of product. Cost of repair applies only to normal failure modes of products, and not to products which have been damaged by abuse, deliberate damage, incorrect installation or applications, or by destructive testing.  

Out-of-warranty product must be returned to ATA Sensors Service Department prepaid with the following information:

  • Name, address and telephone/fax number of the owner of the product
  • Description of the problem and application
  • Bank check, money order, or pre-approved company check for payment of repair   charges.  

Out of warranty repaired products carry a 90 day warranty on parts and labor.
