Applications:  ARS-01 Triaxial Kit, ARS-01S Triaxial Kit, ARS-09A Triaxial Kit;
                   
(plus Custom Order Triaxial Kits based on ARS-03, ARS-07, ARS-11, ARS-12)

The ILC-03xx is a three sensor ILC unit which provides a DC/DC converter, or a signal conditioning (velocity to acceleration), or amplification of the signal, or a combination of these three functions in a single compact machined aluminum box.  Units can only be configured at the time of manufacture since they are fully encapsulated with special epoxy resins for ruggedness and durability at assembly. Signal conversion and gain options are exclusive;  only one or the other may be specified.  The unit has separate input and output connectors for each of the three sensors plus two connectors for voltage input/velocity output and acceleration output.  All of these connectors use AirBorn® M-series connectors.


As a power converter, the ILC will allow the user to supply a single excitation voltage (typically +10 to12 Vdc) and provides a bipolar voltage (±13.2 Vdc) output to the three sensors in the triaxial array.  The order number for an ILC for power conversion has the letter “D” as the ILC first option indicator.

As a signal conditioner, it will covert the standard angular velocity output of the three sensors to angular acceleration signals. (The calibration data sheet provided with the ILC-01xA will specify the volts-per-volts output of the acceleration signal at 10 Hz. and at 100 Hz. This is a differential circuit. The gain at 100 Hz. will be ten times that at 10 Hz.) . The order number for an ILC for signal conversion  from velocity to acceleration has the letter “A” as the second ILC option indicator.  All three sensor outputs will be converted unless a custom order is specified.

As an amplifier, the ILC will supply an amplified signal with gain of 1 to 1000 times normal signal output.  Standard versions are available in 1, 10, 100, or 1000 times gain. The order number for an ILC for signal amplification from 1 to 10x has the letter “G” as the second ILC option indicator.  For gain from 1 to 100x, the letter “H” is specified.  For gain of 1000x, the letter “L” is specified.  (See examples below.)  Note that either gain or acceleration signal output can be supplied, not both.   All three sensor output signals will be amplified at the same amplification rate unless a custom order is specified.

Check individual sensor order sheets to verify that the specific ILC-03xx model applies to the specific sensor you are ordering since some limitations apply.  Models ARS-01S triaxial kit cannot be used with power conversion options.  Model ARS-09A (not ARS-09) triaxial kit is required for use with ILC box.

Note: The CA-03A  and CA-03AX cables have AirBorn® M series connectors at the ILC box and bare ends for the test equipment and power supply connections.  These require direct connection or customer supplied connectors at the test equipment and power supply.
