Scale
Factor
(Sensitivity)
--
The
standard
scale
factor
for
the
ARS-12
is
57,000
mV/(rad/sec).
We
can
provide
custom
scale
factors
to
order
over
a
range
of
values.
Any
other
desired
scale
factor
must
be
specified
in
mV/(rad/sec)
or
mV/(deg/sec).
Increasing
scale
factors
beyond
the
standard
value
will
result
in
a
reduction
in
frequency
range.
This
product
is
smaller
size
and
mass
than
the
ARS-11
but
has
a
higher
noise
floor
and
lower
resolution
with
the
same
sensitivity.
Range
--
The
output
signal
range
is
determined
by
dividing
the
maximum
output
voltage
by
the
scale
factor.
A
higher
scale
factor
will
result
in
a
more
limited
range.
A
standard
ARS-12
with
a
57,000
mV/(rad/sec)
scale
factor
and
an
output
power
voltage
of
±10
V
will
have
an
angular
velocity
range
of
±
0.175
rad/sec.
Input
Voltages
(Excitation)
--
Standard
input
voltages
of
+
5/-5
Vdc
to
+15/-15
Vdc
are
used
for
the
ARS-12.
When
the
applications
require
operation
from
a
single
power
source
such
a
+12
Vdc,
an
ILC
can
be
used
to
generate
the
dual
voltage
inputs
to
the
sensor.
Signal
Conditioning
and
Power
Supply
Requirements
--
the
ARS-12
may
be
operated
without
a
separate
power
regulator
or
in-line
signal
conditioning
unit
if
the
standard
customer
power
supply
is
well
regulated
and
without
noise,
and
if
the
sensor
output
cables
are
of
proper
impedance,
not
more
than
15
to
20
feet
in
length,
and
not
subject
to
induced
noise
from
external
emi
sources.
ATA
Sensors
supplies
optional
cables
for
the
ARS-12
which
have
the
proper
connectors,
use
Teflon®
insulated
wire
with
twisted
pairs
and
heavy
metal
shielding
to
minimize
noise.
Cables
and
Connectors
--
Two
cable
connection
options
are
offered
for
the
ARS-12.
The
cable
CA-01
is
specified
when
no
ILC
is
used.
Standard
cable
lengths
are
approximately
7
meters
(23
feet)
and
this
is
supplied
with
the
sensor
mating
connector
on
one
end
and
un-terminated
pigtail
at
the
other
to
allow
for
the
customer
to
add
their
own
connection
to
measurement
equipment.
The
cable
CA-02
is
specified
when
an
ILC
box
will
be
used.
This
is
a
5.5-meter
cable,
which
goes
from
the
sensor
connector
to
the
ILC
box. The ILC box utilizes
a
4-pin
military
specification
AirBorn®
connector
(male)
MA-211-004-113-0000.
The
output
side
of
the
ILC
box
uses
a
corresponding
CA-03
cable,
which
is
1.5
meters
in
length,
has
an
AirBorn®
connector
at
the
ILC
box
end,
and
a
pigtail
at
the
other
end
to
allow
customer
interface
connectors
to
be
added.
Custom
machined
connector
housing
allows
the
connector
to
be
locked
to
the
ILC
using
screws
provided.
In-Line-Converter

the
ARS-12
are:
ILC-01xx

Units
can
only
be
configured
at
the
time

fully
encapsulated
with
special
epoxy

durability
at
assembly.
Signal

is
specified.
-
As
a
signal
conditioner,
it
will
covert
the

of
the
sensor
to
an
angular

will
specify
the
volts-per-volts
output
of
the
acceleration
signal
at
10
Hz.
and
at
100
Hz.
This
is
a
differential
circuit.
The
gain
at
100
Hz.
will
be
ten
times
that
at
10
Hz).
The
order
number
for
an
ILC
for
signal
conversion
from
velocity
to
acceleration
has

(1x)
is
“F”.
The
order
number
for
an
ILC
for
signal
amplification
from
1
to
10x
has
the
letter
“G”
as
the
second
ILC
option
indicator.
For
gain
from
